"Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

Perhaps Ah Gump was right when he drawled this in 1994. Been seeking the Lord to provide a way out of my current workplace in search of better work-life balance. Lo and behold, I received a call from a recruiter whom I've never contacted.

Was a little stunned by the call. Potential opening in a wholesale bank doing corporate finance. Cool. Erm, figured I didn't have time to go for the interview and I was hoping for a job with better hours so I had to prayerfully let the chance pass by.
Honestly, I couldn't believe I did that. But I think it's important to stick to my parameters and see if there are still any takers (something I learnt while having dinner with Ps Jeff). Right now, I really need a life. =p
Reminds me of the beach bum story I heard. You can either work hard to be a bum or just be a bum. Would really appreciate some time off to detox and realign my priorities again. Work's been eating into my personal time. Thank God for blessing me with a wonderful gal and (in no particular order) cell group buddies.
My face lights up when I cast my thoughts on this verse: "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will grant you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4
Amen =)
